SNV Laos is looking for a Lao national for the position of Project Manager for the Project Lowering Emissions in Asia’s Forests (LEAF). S/he will be based in Vientiane, with frequent domestic and international travel. SNV Lao PDR provides capacity development services in 3 sectors: Agriculture, Renewable Energy and Water Sanitation and Hygiene. SNV is building its portfolio of REDD+ programs across Asia.
The LEAF Project Manager is responsible for managing all LEAF activities in Lao PDR, and monitoring project performance to ensure LEAF results in Lao PDR are achieved. S/he is also responsible for effectively and efficiently managing a small team, a number of consultants and administrative support staff. S/he will work closely with the Regional LEAF Forest Management and Climate Change Adviser, the SNV REDD+ Sector Leader and a number of LEAF climate change and REDD+ specialists.
