New calls for public input launched for the CDM policy dialogue

May 10, 2012

CDM Policy Dialogue

The high-level panel on the CDM policy dialogue invites groups of CDM stakeholders to share their views on issues related to the past and future of the CDM. Based on the input received by stakeholders following a call for public input that closed in January 2012, the high-level panel on the CDM policy dialogue developed more detailed questionnaires for specific groups of stakeholders. CDM project developers and the public are now invited to respond to these questionnaires by 31 May 2012.

The panel has been established to conduct a dialogue on the past and future of the CDM. It consists of distinguished policy makers and representatives of civil society and business who will engage a wide range of stakeholders through meetings and studies to gain a full and unbiased picture of the operations, benefits and shortcomings of the CDM. The aim of the CDM policy dialogue is to take stock of the lessons learned implementing the CDM and recommend how to position the mechanism going forward.
