Vietnam: National REDD+ steering committee to revise UN-REDD Programme proposal

On the 28^th June, 2012, the National REDD+ Steering Committee meeting was organized at MARD under the chairmanship of Mr. Cao Duc Phat, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Head of the National REDD+ Steering Committee. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss and revise the proposal of UN – REDD Viet Nam Programme (Phase 2).

 

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Cao Duc Phat concluded that the VNFOREST will cooperate with national relevant agencies and three recognized United Nations organizations to finalize the Phase II – Programme proposal and submit to the international UN-REDD Programme Secretariat and Norway’s Government soon.
