Gold Standard to certify forestry carbon offsets

Forestry carbon credits can overcome a perceived image problem if suppliers can show clearly that emissions reductions are permanent, measurable and make a big contribution to sustainable development, Swiss-based certification service Gold Standard said on Thursday.
