CBD circulates submissions from parties on REDD+ safeguards and assessment of impacts on biodiversity

The Executive Secretary of Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) is circulating the submissions received from Parties and international non-governmental organizations on relevant safeguards in reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries (REDD+) in response to notification No. SCBD/STTM/JM/TC/JSt/74726.

 

This notification was circulated by the Executive Secretary on January 2011 as a follow-up to decision X/33 of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention.
